Limited funding has been obtained so far through Edukans to help develop the Rongai Vocational Training Centre which offers skills-focussed courses to the more able children from the Vanessa Grant School and to primary school leavers in Rongai. These cover knitting, tailoring, sewing, hair dressing, nutrition and cooking, computing, book-keeping and small business management.
Recent achievements
- Two classrooms completed and opened with children from both the Vanessa Grant School and the local community
- Foundations for 3 more classrooms complete
- Toilets completed
- Water supply fitted and pump bought
- Storage tanks fitted
- Knitting and sewing machine bought with donations
